Mintz and Brown named in ACC Men’s Basketball season honors



SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) — Prior to the ACC Tournament starting on Wednesday, the conference has released their season honors and a few Syracuse players were mentioned on the list.

Judah Mintz was named to the All-ACC second team with 219 votes. He finished the regular season averaging 18.7 points per game which is the fourth most points per game in the ACC regular season.

Maliq Brown was named to the All-ACC Defensive Team. This makes Brown the first center in ACC history to finish the season leading the conference in steals per game and he also ended the regular season averaging 7.9 rebounds per game in ACC contests.

Quadir Copeland was the runner up for Sixth man of the year receiving 20 votes behind Pitt’s Ishmael Leggett who got 33.

Adrian Autry also came in third for ACC Coach of the Year receiving six votes.
