Le Moyne men win first NEC post-season game over FDU

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) –

The Le Moyne men’s basketball team earned its first NEC Tournament post-season win as a Division I program on Wednesday night, knocking off FDU 82-61.

Former West Genesee star Luke Sutherland paced the ‘Phins attack, pouring in a game-high 22 points. Darrick Jones Jr., chipped in 17 points, and Ky Cleary added 13 points for the Dolphins. As a team, Le Moyne hit 13 threes.

Le Moyne advances to the NEC semifinals to face two-seed Merrimack College. The Dolphins dropped both regular season meetings against the Warriors this season. It will be a noon tip on Saturday between Le Moyne and Merrimack. You can watch the game on the YES Network.
