Le Moyne falls to Merrimack in the NEC semifinals 61-51

NORTH ANDOVER, M.A. (WSYR) — The Dolphins were knocked out of the Northeast Conference Championship tournament with a 61-51 loss to Merrimack College on Saturday.

Le Moyne going up by nine in the beginning of the 1st half, but Merrimack coming back and went into the break up 28-20. Despite their effort, the Dolphins were not able to close the gap and pull off a comeback.

Luke Sutherland led Le Moyne with 23 points, his third 20+ point game in a row. Darrick Jones Jr. and Kaiyem Cleary also chipped in double digits combining for 21 points.

Le Moyne wraps up their first season as a Division I team with an overall record of 15-17 and 9-7 conference record.
