From sun, to rain, then snow over the weekend in CNY

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – It took awhile for some spots, but we did manage to see clouds give way to sunshine on Thursday. Will sunny skies return on Friday, and what about the weekend? Details below…
Another dose of sunshine on Friday
It’s a chilly and frosty start to the morning! Give yourself a few extra minutes to clear windshields of frost before you embark on your morning commute.
Enjoy another sunny day! Keep those sunglasses handy. Highs will turn even warmer than Thursday, ending up around 60.

Clouds will begin to increase late in the day, and this will signal some changes in store for the weekend.
True March weather returns this weekend
Unfortunately, the nice weather we see to end the week doesn’t last into the weekend as a complex storm system comes our way from the middle of the country.
It will be a windy start to the weekend, with rain developing Saturday afternoon. Come late Saturday night into Sunday, we cool down enough for any rain to change some snow showers at first over the hills and then for the rest of CNY during the day Sunday.
An accumulating snow is looking possible for all of CNY, including Syracuse, with the greatest totals across the hills of CNY between late Saturday night and lunch time Monday. Yes, this would diminish the chances of Syracuse experiencing its least snowy winter on record.
High temperatures over the weekend go from the low 50s on Saturday to low 40s to start Sunday. However, temperatures on Sunday are likely to fall into the low to mid 30s during the day with gusty winds accentuating the chill. Stay tuned for updates on the changes that are ahead for us.
