Colgate earns 14 seed in NCAA Tournament

HAMILTON, N.Y. (WSYR) — The Colgate Raiders men’s basketball team learned their fate in the NCAA Tournament after winning their fourth straight Patriot League Championship.

Colgate was given the 14 seed in the West Region and will play their opening game in Memphis against third-seeded Baylor on Friday, March 22.

Baylor finished third in the Big 12 and grabbed the three seed with a 23-10 regular season record.

The Raiders earned their bid into the NCAA Tournament after defeating Leigh in the Patriot League Tournament final on Wednesday, March 13. This marks Colgate’s seventh appearance in March Madness.
