What food services passed or failed health inspection Feb. 11-17?

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga County Health Department released its inspection reports for restaurants checked from Feb. 11 through Feb. 17.

One food service failed its inspection:

• Freedom of Espresso – 403 First Street, Liverpool

Freedom of Espresso had four violations, with one in critical condition.

Improper cooling and refrigerated storage of potentially hazardous foods (critical):

The inspector found a small cooler was operating at 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

The following products in the cooler were found at these respective temperatures for an undetermined amount of time:

• One-half gallon of fat-free milk at 60 degrees Fahrenheit
• One cup of whole milk at 61 degrees Fahrenheit
• One-half quart of Barista Oat milk at 61 degrees Fahrenheit
• One-half quart of Barista Almond milk at 60 degrees Fahrenheit
• One quart of Soy milk at 60.7 degrees Fahrenheit
• 23 (1oz.) individual cream cheeses at 60.3 degrees Fahrenheit

This was corrected and the products were voluntarily discarded, and the cooler was taken out of service.

Improper cleaning, washing and sanitizing of equipment and utensils: The inspector found wet wiping cloths stored on the counter, and not stored in sanitizer after being used.

Improper cleaning, washing and sanitizing of equipment and utensils: The inspector found the bottom shelf of the under-the-counter small cooler was not clean. The shelves in cabinets under the several sinks were not clean either.

This violation was found two times.
