Ahmad Named to FootballScoop's Rising Stars List

Syracuse Football Director of High School Relations, Khalil Ahmad has been named one of FootballScoop’s 125 Minority Watch List Rising Stars.
With input from double-digit NFL coaches and scouts, more than 100 college coaches and staffers, as well as myriad other figures in football, FootballScoop selected 125 rising stars from a group of well over 400 submissions.
In his current role, Ahmad is tasked with creating and fostering relationships with high school coaches and athletes. He, Gino Gigliotti and McKenzie Bostic make up the Orange’s recruiting department, which is tasked with identifying and attracting top prospects to Syracuse.
Ahmad joined Syracuse in February after previously serving at Rutgers in player development. A Delaware Stade graduate, Ahmad previously served the last two years as assistant head coach/offensive and recruiting coordinator at Paterson Eastside High School in helping turn the program around on the way to back-to-back winning seasons. That included a postseason berth in 2019 and being in position in 2020.
A Montclair, New Jersey native, Ahmad began his coaching career at Passaic High School, as the offensive coordinator, leading the team to its first .500 or better season in 20 years. He also previously worked at Northern Valley at Demarest.
