Orange Host FSU in Rescheduled ACC Matchup
The Orange (11-12, 4-9 ACC) look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday night when they host Florida State (12-11, 6-7 ACC) at 6 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Fans unable to attend can watch live on ACCNX through the ESPN app.
‘Cuse is 9-4 at home this season and has won three out of its last five ACC games including back-to-back road games last week at Virginia and Pittsburgh. Teisha Hyman leads the Orange with 15.6 points per game and scored a career-high 31 points (10-for-17) in Sunday’s road win vs. the Panthers. Alaysia Styles also added a career-high 21 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 at the charity stripe in the win. ‘Cuse erased a 13-point deficit to storm back in the second half and beat Pittsburgh 67-65 sealed by Hyman’s game-winning basket with 9.4 seconds to play. The Orange have all five starters averaging double figures and are holding opponents to 31 percent from three-point range. Syracuse leads the ACC in steals per game (10.4) and are the third-best free throw shooting team in the nation with an impressive 80.6 success rate at the line.
Florida State is led offensively by Morgan Jones (14.4 ppg). Jones is shooting 48.1 percent from the field this season and hopes to guide the Seminoles for their first road win at Syracuse since 2014. Jones also leads FSU in rebounding, blocks, steals and free throws made. Like the Orange, the Seminoles have also won three of their last five games but are coming off a road loss at Miami on Sunday afternoon in which the Hurricanes outscored FSU 76-59 in Coral Gables. Over the last three games, Florida State has shot 44.5 percent from the field and ranks fourth in the ACC in field goal percentage.

Tuesday night’s game was originally scheduled for Jan. 2 but was postponed due to health and safety protocols within the FSU program. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. on ACCNX.
