Orange Host #4 Louisville Sunday at Noon


Syracuse (9-11, 2-8 ACC) will host #4 Louisville (20-2,10-1 ACC) on Sunday at noon in the Carrier Dome. The Cardinals beat the Orange, 84-71, in the first meeting of the season on Jan. 13 at the KFC Yum! Center. Fans can watch the game on their regional sports networks with Dean Linke and Amy Audibert on the call. Regional sports network channels may vary depending on TV market. Doors open at 11 a.m. The first couple hundred fans will receive a Syracuse Women’s Basketball t-shirt thanks to our proud sponsors. T-shirts will be first come first serve.
Syracuse has four of its five starters scoring in the top-20 of the ACC and is coming off six-point road loss Thursday at Miami. Teisha Hyman and Naje Murray had 15 points each in the loss while Christianna Carr added 14 points. Syracuse is 1-2 in its last three games and leads the ACC in steals per game. The Orange look to win its 10th home game of the season and earn its first top-5 win against the Cardinals since Feb. 9, 2019 when Syracuse beat #5 Louisville 59-51 in the Dome.
Louisville rides a five-game win streak into Sunday’s showdown. Former Syracuse guard Emily Engstler will make her return to the Carrier Dome and home state of New York. The Louisville senior is averaging a team-best 8.5 rebounds per game and is third for the Cardinals in scoring with 11.0 points per game. Hailey Van Lith leads Louisville in scoring with 13.2 points per game and is averaging 15.1 ppg in ACC play most recently scoring 34 against Clemson Thursday night.
