Orange Face Wake Forest in Final Regular Season Road Game

Syracuse (11-15, 4-12 ACC) travels to Wake Forest (13-14, 3-13 ACC) for the final regular season road game on Thursday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on ACCNX from LJVM Coliseum. 

‘Cuse looks to snap a three-game losing streak Thursday night and secure the 11-seed for the upcoming ACC Tournament March 2-6 in Greensboro, N.C. The Orange are 7-2 all-time against the Demon Deacons, winning the most recent matchup, 85-78, on Feb. 4, 2021. Wake Forest has lost 11 of its last 12 games and is coming off an 82-70 road loss at Boston College last Sunday. 

Syracuse has all five scorers averaging double figures with Teisha Hyman leading the team with 15.3 points per game. The Orange have won two of their last five games and hope to win their fourth game on the road in Winston-Salem, N.C. ‘Cuse is currently 3-1 in road games with the Demon Deacons. 

Jewel Spear is WFU’s biggest scoring threat. The ACC leading in points per game (18.6) is shooting 41.3 percent from the field and is 36.5 percent from three-point range, good for third in the league. Spear is fourth in the ACC in three-pointers per game (2.9).
