How old were you when you started playing lacrosse, and why did you start playing?
I started playing lacrosse in fifth grade. Around that time a bunch of my friends started playing so I figured it would be a way to spend more time with them and I fell in love with it after that.
What other sports did you play growing up?
I played soccer, I ran track and I tried gymnastics, but it wasn’t really for me. I also danced.
How did these other sports help you develop as a lacrosse player?
Soccer helped with my fitness and footwork and was the sport that helped me the most in my transition to lacrosse.
Can you talk about the experience playing with your sister, Emma?
It has been so special. We have been playing together for three years in college and basically our whole lives through multiple sports so being able to finish out my lacrosse career here with her is such a special thing. I appreciate every day that I get to do this with her because most people don’t get to say that they played college lacrosse with their sister.
What is your major, and what do you want to do after school?
I am a public relations major. A dream job would probably be working for the FBI but realistically, I want to go into sports public relations or crisis communications.

Megan Carney
Funniest teammate?
Sam Swart
Best cook on the team?

If you were stranded on a desert island, who would you want to be with you?
Emily Hawryschuk. She’s very level headed and would be calmer than me if I was stuck on a desert island.
Who would rescue you from the desert island?
Kenzie Harris. Definitely!
