Doja Cat’s ‘Need to Know’ Hits No. 1 on Pop Airplay Chart

Doja Cat collects her third No. 1 on Billboard‘s Pop Airplay chart as “Need to Know” ascends to the top of the tally dated Feb. 5.

Released on Kemosabe/RCA Records, the song is the second leader on the list from Doja Cat’s album Planet Her, after “Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA, for a week last July.

(The Pop Airplay chart reflects total weekly plays, as tabulated by MRC Data, among its reporting panel of over 150 mainstream top 40 stations.)

Doja Cat first paced Pop Airplay with “Say So,” for six weeks starting in May 2020, from her prior LP, Hot Pink.

Planet Her has yielded two other entries on the chart: “You Right,” with The Weeknd, hit No. 5 in November, while “Woman” rises to a new No. 17 high on the latest ranking.

The set debuted at its No. 2 best on the Billboard 200 in July and has earned 1.7 million equivalent album units to date, according to MRC Data.

On the Rhythmic Airplay chart, “Need to Know” became the third No. 1 from Planet Her when it began a five-week reign in November. “You Right” led the ranking for four weeks starting last August and “Kiss Me More” spent two weeks on top beginning in June.
