'Cuse loses to #4 NC State

The Orange lost to #4 NC State 95-53 Sunday afternoon at Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum. Chrislyn Carr paced Syracuse with 14 points, in addition to three rebounds and three steals. Carr shot 6-for-13 from the field and 2-for-6 from behind the arc. The Orange (11-15 overall, 4-12 ACC)  travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. on Thursday, Feb. 24 to play Wake Forest. The Orange have won their last two of their last three road games.

Teisha Hyman added 12 points to mark her 15th-straight game in double figures. She added six rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Naje Murray also notched 12 points and had two rebounds, an assist, and two steals. Christianna Carr tallied 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Alaysia Styles rounded out the starting-five with two points, six rebounds, an an assist. Alaina Rice added two points, three rebounds, and an assist for the Orange.

Kayla Jones led NC State (25-3, 16-1) with 18 points, shooting 66.7 percent from the field. NC State had three players record double-digit points in their sixth straight win. Syracuse held NC State to 5-for-23 from behind the arc.
 
Tip-off against Wake Forest is set for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on ACCNX through the ESPN app.
