Orange Visit #20 Notre Dame Thursday

Syracuse (8-9, 1-6 ACC) travels to South Bend to face Notre Dame (14-4, 5-2 ACC) Thursday at 6 p.m. in Purcell Pavilion. It is the second meeting between the two this season. The Irish won the first game, 82-56, at the Carrier Dome on Nov. 14 in the ACC opener.
The Orange are in search of their first ACC road win of the 2021-22 season. The Irish are the fifth nationally-ranked opponent Syracuse has faced since Dec. 30 and are the fourth-consecutive Orange opponent inside the Associated Press (AP) Top-20. A win over the Irish Thursday would be the first-ever road win for Syracuse at Purcell Pavilion and would also be the second time Syracuse has beaten ND in the last three meetings. Syracuse last won Jan. 31, 2021, with an 81-69 victory in the Carrier Dome.
Syracuse has all five starters averaging double figures in scoring with Teisha Hyman leading the team with 15.1 points per game. She adds 5.6 rebounds and leads the team in assists (4.1 apg) and steals (2.4 spg).
The Fighting Irish are coming off a 77-63 win at Pittsburgh last Sunday. Notre Dame was led by freshmen duo Olivia Miles (21 points) and Sonia Citron (15 points) in the win. The Irish have won three of their last five games after winning the previous four-straight games from Dec. 8-22. Notre Dame is the only other team in the ACC with five players averaging double figures.
Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. with Jenn Hildreth calling the game and Debbie Antonelli serving as color analyst on ACC Network.
