Meet the Orange: #3 Nyah Wilson

Sophomore guard Nyah Wilson sits down for the latest episode of Meet The Orange. She discusses her older twin sisters’ impact on her basketball career, why she loves playing defense, and how the team is coming together as a sisterhood under the leadership of head coach Felisha Legette-Jack.

Wilson appeared in 20 games as a freshman last season. She had a career-high nine points in the season opener vs. Monmouth and had a season-high three rebounds and four assists in the Orange win over Cornell. Wilson was a three-star recruit and No. 19 guard coming out of Duncanville High School where she led her team to a Class 6A Texas State Championship and scored over 1,000 points during her high school career.

The Dallas, Texas, native credits her two older twin sisters, Briya and Brinee, as her biggest role models on the basketball court. Wilson is a strong defensive player who loves to play hard and get her teammates involved. She’s excited for the upcoming season and can’t wait to show the fans how hard the team has worked this offseason.

The Meet the Orange miniseries is aimed to introduce fans to the new faces of @CuseWBB and build excitement for Coach Jack’s first season leading her alma mater.
