Meet the Orange: #4 Teisha Hyman

In the latest episode of Meet the Orange, redshirt junior Teisha Hyman opens up about the first few months with head coach Felisha Legette-Jack at the helm, who she is outside of basketball and what the possibilities are for the Orange with her and Dyaisha Fair teaming up in the backcourt this season. 

Hyman is coming off her best season in Orange. She led Syracuse in every major statistical category as a redshirt sophomore in 2021-22 including points per game (16.2), rebounding (6.1), assists (3.9) and steals (2.5). She was named All-Atlantic Coast Conference Honorable Mention by the Blue Ribbon Panel and recorded the fifth triple double in program history. 

She finished her sophomore season fifth in the ACC in scoring and led the league in steals (73) and steals per game (2.5). Hyman was named to the Fall 2021 Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll as well as All-ACC Academic Team last season. 

Off the court she is a published author. When she was nine years old she wrote a children’s book about the human digestive system called Uh Oh! A Human. She enjoys letting her creative side show through artwork and ceramics, exploring the great outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. 

The Meet the Orange miniseries is aimed to introduce fans to the new faces of @CuseWBB and build excitement for Coach Jack’s first season leading her alma mater.
