Hawryschuk 13th Pick in Athletes Unlimited Draft

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Graduate student Emily Hawryschuk was the 13th pick in the 2022 Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse College Draft on Tuesday night. The 15 draftees are invited to make their debut at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Maryland on July 21.

Hawryschuk returned to Syracuse for her sixth season in 2022 after suffering a season-ending injury after last year’s season opener. She got stronger throughout the year and finished with 87 points on 63 goals and 24 assists. Hawryschuk recorded four or more points in 14 contests, including Syracuse’s win at Cornell when she posted a career-high 11 points.

The Victor, N.Y. native ends her career as Syracuse’s all-time leader in goals with 272. She also ranks fourth on the career points list with 341. Hawryschuk is a two-time IWLCA All-American and a three-time All-ACC First Team selection.
