SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 4 Syracuse faces its fourth top-10 opponent this season when it takes on No. 6 Loyola on Tuesday, March 29. Opening draw in the Carrier Dome is set for 6 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse improved to 5-0 at home and 8-2 overall after a 22-7 victory against Temple last Saturday. Senior Meaghan Tyrrell tied her career high with 10 points (5g, 5a), while junior Emma Tyrrell scored five goals and dished out three assists for a career-best eight points.
Junior Kate Mashewske also set a career high with 14 draw controls. That total ties for third on Syracuse’s single-game record list. She now ranks 13th in the nation in draw controls per game (7.00).
TAKING ON THE BEST
The Orange will play nine ranked opponents in its first 11 games, including Tuesday’s game against the Greyhounds. Syracuse has already played three top-10 teams, posting a 2-1 record in those contests. Following this Saturday’s game against Pittsburgh, the Orange host current No. 1 North Carolina in the Dome on April 9.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Loyola is one of two undefeated teams remaining in Division I, joining the top-ranked Tar Heels. The Greyhounds defeated Boston University last Saturday to improve to 9-0.
Livy Rosenzweig leads the Greyhounds in points (37) and goals (26). Sam Fiedler and Georgia Latch have 27 points each. Fiedler is second on the squad in goals (19), while Latch has dished out a team-best 13 assists.
Kaitlyn Larsson has started all nine games in goals for Loyola. She has an 8.64 goals-against average and a .475 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse and Loyola have met 22 times on the lacrosse field. The Orange hold a 17-5 advantage in the series.
Tuesday’s game is a rematch of last year’s NCAA Tournament second round. Meaghan Tyrrell led Syracuse with 10 points on seven goals and three assists, while Emma Tyrrell had seven points on four goals and three assists in the Orange’s 20-8 victory.
