Crews were able to put out the fire by about 1 p.m.

The chief says that considering their staff shortage issues during the daytime, the department didn’t have manpower issues during this incident.

He said that’s why he sent out the signal “99” so there would be “plenty of manpower.”

The woman who was home at the time of the fire was able to get out.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
