Beyonce Reveals Tracklist for New Album “Cowboy Carter”
By Matthew Gray
Back on February 11, 2024 Beyoncé shocked her fans by revealing her new album through a Verizon advertisement during Super Bowl LVIII. The commercial featured the “Break My Soul” singer trying to crash Verizon’s 5G internet, but to no avail. She then announced that her fans are ready for her to drop “the new music” (her new album). Now just a day away from dropping that new music, she has given her “Beyhive” the names of the songs that make up her latest masterpiece.
The tracklist, posted on her personal Instagram account, presents the tracks in red, white and blue bubbles in a wide variety of formal and informal fonts. In theme with the patriotic and western style of her newest project, stars can also be seen surrounding each of the songs along with pictures of the artist wearing cowboy hats and boots. One picture even shows her trying her hand at the accordion!
The album has now been five years in the making, and many “Hive” members have already taken to social media to express their excitement for the long-awaited sequel in her Renaissance series. One overjoyed fan gushed: “BEYONCÉ HAS REVEALED THE COWBOY CARTER TRACKLIST GET UPPP! WHAT TRACK ARE Y’ALL CLAIMING!?” on X.
The positive reception of the album has already been evident after her early single release “Texas Hold ’Em” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Global 200 Chart and the No.1 spot on the Spotify charts. Released at the same time, “16 Carriages” did not see the rapid popularity of “Texas Hold’ Em,” but it did eventually crack into the Top 10 of the Top Hot Country Songs. When Beyoncé was asked if her latest release should be placed in the country music category, her answer was simple:
“This ain’t a Country album. This is a ‘Beyoncé’ album.”
