Temperatures into midweek could break records

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – 50s were felt Monday but wait till you feel what’s ahead. Details are below…

Quiet & mild once again overnight

The sky is clear to partly cloudy overnight with a bit of a breeze kicking up more so as the night progresses. The breeze prevents temperatures from falling any lower than the mid to upper 30s for much of CNY.

Record warmth possible next two days

It’s even warmer for Tuesday and Wednesday as south-southwesterly winds ahead of an approaching strong cold front bring unseasonably mild, spring-like air our way. We’ve bumped the high temperatures for those two days into the 60s, potential record highs!

Some wind & scattered showers, too

Along with the warmer weather comes gusty southwest winds, 30+ mph and scattered showers. The showers are very scattered in nature and don’t arrive until the late afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday.

Come Wednesday we’re in for whiplash weather. Expect more widespread rain and possibly a t-storm or two Wednesday as the cold front moves in mid to late in the afternoon.

The changes that occur late Wednesday afternoon into Thursday are going to be significant and a shock to the body. Click here to find out all about it.
