OGDENSBURG, N.Y. (WWTI) — Ogdensburg Free Academy in St. Lawrence County is secured after a lockdown and parents were directed to pick up children at the Golden Dome.
According to the school’s website, Ogdensburg Free Academy went into lockdown after a student was reported to have had a gun on campus earlier in the afternoon.
Law enforcement agencies responded and swept the building for any potential threats. They have determined that the building is secure and no injuries were reported.
All extracurricular activities and athletic events have been canceled for today. Students who are still on campus must be picked up in the Dome parking lot.
We are thankful for the law enforcement partners who responded quickly to ensure the safety of our school community, and to our students, staff and administration for the flawless implementation of our district emergency plan.
