Searches underway for missing man in LaFayette

LAFAYETTE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Victor “Devon” Scott, a 24-year-old man from LaFayette, was reported missing on Thursday, Feb. 8, and search parties are trying to find him.

Scott, who goes by the first name “Devon,” is a white male, 5-foot-6, and weighs 200 pounds, said the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. He has brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a dark green fleece pullover, black pants, black shoes and glasses. Scott also has a short beard.

He was last seen by family around 12:30 p.m. at Route 11 near Scammell Road on Thursday, according to the OCSO.

On Saturday, Feb. 10, the Sheriff’s Office and NYS Forest Rangers searched for Scott, along with friends and family members, but did not find him.

Another search took place on Sunday, Feb. 11, with family, friends, volunteers from the public and the Onondaga County Wilderness Search and Rescue.

“Biggest thing right now, we just want to make sure Devon’s okay and that he’s safe. We want him to know that we’re really worried about him. We just want to make sure that he’s safe,” Tess Seton, Scott’s fiancée, told NewsChannel 9.
