SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – After a painfully long stretch of cloudy days cross central New York, we finally saw some appreciable sunshine return Saturday. Will we see some more Sunday?! Find out below.
Chilly, quiet tonight
It’s a chilly, quiet night under a partly to mostly cloudy sky tonight. Lows drop into the 20s.
Keep shades handy to end weekend
On Sunday we expect more clouds than not to start the day, but we should see intervals of sun develop for most by the late morning and afternoon, while it should be sunnier south and east of Syracuse.
High temperatures will probably be slightly warmer reaching well into the 30s to near 40.
Staying quiet for most of next week
We are lined up for a nice, unusually long dry stretch of weather through Thursday. As high pressure continues to dominate the region, we can look forward to more and more sunshine through the week.
Eventually turns even milder too
In addition to the quiet weather and sunshine, temperatures will begin to warm up into the 40s by midweek and even approach, if not exceed 50 by Thursday and Friday. Keep in mind the normal high temperature this time of year is 32! Maybe Punxsutawney Phil is on to something with his early Spring prediction.
The next chance for rain won’t come until Friday afternoon as a cold front is expected to arrive from the west and cool us down a bit next weekend.
