NYSP arrests Chittenango woman in Herkimer County drug bust

Two suspects from Little Falls, one from Chittenango

HERKIMER COUNTY, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — New York State Police arrested three people in the execution of a search warrant in the town of Fairfield on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

New York State Police with the Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Special Operations Response Team, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, and uniformed patrol members executed the warrant on Lynch Road in the town of Fairfield. A search warrant was previously executed there in June of last year.

After the investigation, investigators say they seized a quantity of crack cocaine, crystal meth, cocaine and other drug paraphernalia, as well as an illegally possessed weapon.

The suspects — 30-year-old Frank Dufford and 28-year-old Jacob Dufford, both of Little Falls and 29-year-old Alexis Mackey from Chittenango — were all subsequently arrested and arraigned in the Village of Herkimer Court.

Mackey was turned over to the Oneida City Police Department on an active bench warrant out of Oneida City Court for Burglary and Grand Larceny.

Frank Dufford was remanded to the Herkimer County Jail on $75,000 cash bail and $150,000 bond. He is being charged with:

  • Third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, a Class D Felony
  • Third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class B Felony
  • Three counts of second-degree Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor

Jacob Dufford was remanded to the Herkimer County Jail with no bail due to an active bench warrant out of Herkimer County Court. He is being charged with:

  • Third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class B Felony
  • Three counts of second-degree Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor

The New York State Police were assisted by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department.
