SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – Boy was Sunday a nice day across much of CNY under plenty of sun to go around! Believe it or not, the sunny stretch has just begun! Details are below.
Another frosty night ahead
After a nice and sunny Sunday for many, including Syracuse, some clouds may drift in from the north during the night, but overall, it’s a quiet and frosty night ahead.
Lows drop into the low to mid 20s for most, but teens in the normally colder spots.
We’ll stay dry and keep the sun around!
We are lined up for a nice, unusually long dry stretch of weather through Thursday. As high pressure continues to dominate the region, we can look forward to more sunshine through the week! I guess you could say we are making up for the lack of sun we recently endured for nearly 2 weeks!
Spring feel develops too
In addition to the quiet weather and sunshine, temperatures will begin to warm up into the mid 40s by midweek and even approach, if not exceed 50 by Thursday and Friday. Yes, it’ll feel like April around here rather than February for the last half of the week!
May need umbrella by weeks end
The next chance for any precipitation will likely arrive as rain, few showers, as we expect a cold front to move in from the west by Friday afternoon. Conditions should turn breezy ahead of the cold front as early as Thursday afternoon/evening.
Cooler, but not colder next weekend
It turns cooler, 40s, next weekend but remains milder than normal.
There are strong indications that point towards a more normal winter pattern taking shape beyond Superbowl weekend. Stay tuned for updates.
