Looking for a summer job? Water Safari looks to fill over 200 positions

OLD FORGE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — If you want to get paid to explore the Adirondacks and have access to summer waterpark fun, a job at Water Safari Resort might be for you.

Water Safari in Old Forge is now hiring all positions for summer 2024. Currently, in-person and zoom interviews are underway, and the human resources team is encouraging those looking for a job to apply now.

Currently, there are 200 open positions available at the Enchanted Forest Water Safari, Calypso’s Cove, Old Forge Camping Resort, and Water’s Edge Inn. Jobs include both full and part-time, including weekends and holidays from mid-June through Labor Day.

“There are many great team member benefits from working at Water Safari Resort including opportunities for advancement, learning lifelong career skills, making new friends, as well as many other on-the-job perks and free admission tickets for friends or family,” stated Water Safari Resort.

The open jobs are in all departments including food service, water rides, retail, reservations, housekeeping and many more. Several specialty, management and year-round positions are also available. Water Safari Resort is hiring ages 16 and up.

If you’re interested in working in the park, Water Safari offers free lifeguard training for those ages 15+ who want to be lifeguard certified.

Those in Herkimer County can take free public transit to Water Safari through the Herkimer County Youth Bureau and Lewis County.

According to Water Safari, Enchanted Forest Water Safari is a themed, seasonal water park, Calypso’s Cove is a seasonal family fun park, Old Forge Camping Resort is a year-round campground, and Water’s Edge Inn is a year-round hotel.

Old Forge Camping Resort and the Water’s Edge Inn also have several job openings from spring through fall.

“We are excited to kick off the 2024 hiring season at Water Safari Resort,” said Larisa Nowicki, Human Resources Manager. “We have many jobs available for this summer and strongly encourage applicants to apply early. Some departments are already filling up. With the minimum wage increasing to $15 per hour, this is a great opportunity for today’s youth to gross $600 for a 40-hour work week and to begin gaining valuable work experience now.”
