Justin Timberlake Announces New Single “Drown” Ahead of Upcoming Album

By Matthew Gray

After releasing his hit single “Selfish” back in January of this year, Justin Timberlake has announced yet another new song.

The NSYNC star announced his latest single “Drown” via Instagram on Monday, giving fans a small snippet of the lyrics in a short video. “Showed me exactly who you are and I should’ve believed it/ Leave me alone out in the dark with all of the demons,” he sings in the post. “Should’ve never followed you this far, now I’m in the deep end.”

The post also announced the release date, and fans will not have to wait long. The single is set to be released on Friday, February 23rd. This is his second single of 2024 ahead of his next album, Everything I Thought I Was, which releases on March 15th.

This will be the “Suit & Tie” singer’s first official album release since Man of the Woods, which premiered all the way back in 2018. Timberlake has also been performing in multiple one-night concerts ahead of this new album.

His next edition of these one-time concerts, taking place at the Roundhouse in London, will be the same day that “Drown” is released. This by no means can be a coincidence.

Along with his song announcement in the Instagram post, the star hinted that he has arrived in London while still battling the flu, but is ready for the lively week he has before him.

“Made it out to London, still recovering from this flu, but trying to power through. So excited for new music and everything coming this week…” his caption reads.

After his new album is turned loose to the public in March, Timberlake will begin his Forget Tomorrow World Tour. The almost four-month long event starts in April in Vancouver, Canada and ends in Lexington, Kentucky in early July.

With so much content coming so early in the year from the “Cry Me a River” star, it’s safe to say that “The TN Kids” are in for an eventful 2024.
