Mild, rain tapers off Friday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) – After another dreary day across the region on Thursday, you will need the umbrella at times on Friday. Will it dry out for the weekend? Details are below…

All wet, not white for now

Widespread rain early Friday morning will taper to just a few scattered showers during the day. There could still be some patchy fog around as well.

It will be a mild day, with highs in Syracuse reaching well into the 40s. Parts of the Finger Lakes could even be in the 50s!

Weekend starts quiet, but may turn wintry…

It’s a tranquil and mild Saturday with clouds ruling the sky and highs warming into the low 40s. However, a developing nor’easter may provide CNY with some accumulating wet snow on Sunday.

Right now, the greatest threat for accumulation is likely going to be from the Thruway south. We are watching this storm carefully as it develops as temperatures being just above freezing will impact the snow totals. Stay tuned for updates over the next few days…
