Lewis County downgrades to no unnecessary travel after Sunday ban

LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office has downgraded Sunday’s travel ban to a no unnecessary travel watch.

The ban was rescinded as of midnight Monday, January 14. However, sheriff’s officials still warn of adverse conditions like slick roads, high wings and blowing and drifting snow.

Authorities say to take extra time when reaching destinations and to use caution on the roads.
