Bright Farms salad kits sold at Wegmans recalled due to potential Listeria contamination

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — If you purchased a salad kit from Wegmans, you may need to check the item as a recall has been issued.

According to Wegmans, a recall was issued for Bright Farms salad kits in seven states due to potential microbial cross-contamination. More specifically, the FDA warned that the products may be contaminated with Listeria.

Customers are instructed to check the salad kits they may have purchased to see if they meet the following criteria All products have a Best By Date of January 15, 2024:

  • Bright Farms Chickpea Caesar Crunch Salad Kit 6.5 OZ (UPC:  8-57062-00415-2)
  • Bright Farms Sunny Bacon Crunch Salad Kit (UPC:  8-57062-00416-9)
  • Bright Farms Southwest Chipotle Crunch Salad Kit 5.85 OZ (UPC:  8-50051-82500-4)
  • Bright Farms Mediterranean Crunch Salad Kit 6.35 OZ (UPC:  8-50051-82501-1)

Those who have purchased the aforementioned products will be able to return their product to the service desk for a refund.
