Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Cobra’ Strikes in Top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart

Megan Thee Stallion strikes back on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart as “Cobra” debuts at No. 10 on the list dated Nov. 18. The rapper’s new release marks her first appearance on the multimetric chart, which blends streaming, radio airplay and sales into its calculations, through her independent Hot Girl label after she and her previous home, 1501 Certified Entertainment, mutually agreed to part ways, ending three years of legal disputes.

In the tracking week of Nov. 2-9, “Cobra” generated 12 million official U.S. streams, according to Luminate, and opens at No. 7 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart, where the rapper picks up her milestone 10th top 10. Plus, “Cobra” swings in at No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales with 6,000 downloads sold in the same period. With the launch, Megan Thee Stallion lands her fifth No. 1 on the genre’s sales list.
