Newsmakers: Recruiting State Troopers at the State Fair

STATE FAIRGROUNDS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The New York State Police is in the midst of one of its largest recruitment efforts in its history, working to fill open positions for 1,000 additional troopers.

This week on Newsmakers, two troopers join NewsChannel 9’s Andrew Donovan to discuss ongoing recruitment efforts that are taking place statewide.

People can being the process of enrolling right at the State Police Exhibit at the Great New York State Fair.

People can apply now to take the Trooper Entrance Examination being administered until October 15.
