Harry Styles’ Emotional Final Night in London for ‘Love on Tour’

Harry Styles took on Wembley Stadium in London one last time on Saturday during the final leg of ‘Love on Tour’. The former One Direction member played 4 sold-out shows in the 90,000-person capacity venue. The night was emotional for all, especially Styles, who was admittedly “the happiest [he’d] ever been on stage.”
His performance was preceded by 3 opening acts including Pauli the PSM (one of Styles’s percussionists), Yaffra, and Wet Leg. Wet Leg, who played with him briefly in February/March 2023, recently rejoined the tour and will finish the final leg with him in July. The Grammy award-winning duo performed some fan favorites including Wet Dream and Being in Love as they psyched up the crowd in preparation for Styles’ set.
There was a lot of love in the room during Wembley Night 4. Styles felt sentimental when he took his usual break in the set to chat with the audience. He took the time to thank everyone for coming, including his close friends from overseas who flew in just to see the show. He also wished every father in the room a happy Father’s Day, including his own. Before returning to their regularly scheduled show, Styles also presented his guitarist, Mitch Rowland, with his first-ever Grammy. Rowland was credited as a writer on Harry’s House, which won Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards back in February. This was also Rowland’s first nomination.
Harry Styles is known for putting on impressive performances, but part of what makes his shows so impressive is the roaring crowd that comes along with it— and Wembley did not disappoint. “I don’t know what it is about this place… I’ve never experienced anything like you before,” said Styles. The crowd was like no other that night and you could tell that the energy fueled him. He went on, “If these were the last shows I ever did in my life… [know] you have filled me up in a way that I would never be able to thank you for.”
Some highlights of his performance included songs that are a rare sight on his tour such as Sweet Creature from Styles’ self-titled debut solo album and an unreleased song titled Medicine, which is a fan favorite that is only played at certain shows. Harry is set to play 13 more venues around Europe before concluding the nearly two-year tour in Reggio Emilia, Italy on July 22nd.
