Tyrrell, Carney Drafted by Athletes Unlimited

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse attackers Meaghan Tyrrell and Megan Carney were among the 11 players selected in the Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse College Draft on Tuesday, May 9. Tyrrell was the No. 1 selection, while Carney was taken with the seventh pick. Syracuse was one of three schools to have two draft selections.
 
Tyrrell and Carney are two of the top scorers in program history. Tyrrell ranks first in career points (404), third in career goals (251) and second in career assists (153). Carney is eighth on both the all-time points (261) and all-time goals (185) leader lists.
 
The players drafted this year will be invited to join contracted returnees and free agents to participate in Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse’s third season. Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse returns to USA Lacrosse headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland from July 20 – August 13. All games will be available live exclusively on ESPN platforms.
