An Interview with Singer-Songwriter Sarah Kinsley

Sarah Kinsley (age 21) began her love for music at a young age, performing classical music in youth orchestras. She eventually went on to study music theory at Columbia University, where she began producing her own alternative pop music. Her debut EP, The Fall released in 2021. In 2021, Kinsley’s single “The King” grew successfully on TikTok, followed by a release of an EP of the same name that made NME‘s list of top debut projects in 2021. Her most recent EP was released in 2022, titled Cypress. Sarah Kinsley has since performed at SXSW and Austin City Limits, as well as selling out her debut headline national tour.
