Q&A with Teisha Hyman

As the Syracuse Orange prepare to host Virginia in the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, Jan. 29, (12 p.m., ACC Network), for National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we continue our Q&A series to help you get to know your Orange! In this edition we talk with redshirt junior guard Teisha Hyman.

What is your favorite place to eat on campus?
TH: Schine Student Center
 
What is one thing that you want to improve on before the end of this season?
TH: Consistency
 
Can you tell us about one of your most memorable moments at Syracuse?
TH: Meeting friends and building connections

What is on your pregame playlist?
TH: It differs, some days it’s gospel. Usually, Alright, Alright by Jules Bartholomew to start the gospel playlist off. Some days it is rap/r&b. 

How did you learn to trust your teammates?
TH: I think its a work in progress and comes from interactions where u start to learn their character, habits, and just knowing them more.
 
What is something about living in Syracuse that excites you?
TH: Snow, but not for too long. Also having my own place and living on my own.
 
Which one of your teammates has the best wardrobe?
TH: Cheyenne McEvans or Ava Irvin 
 
What is your favorite class this semester?
TH: I’m taking a cooking class, FST 22. 
 
When did you start playing basketball? Who is your favorite player?
TH: I started playing when I was three years old and Derrick Rose is my favorite player. 

What is your favorite post-game activity?
TH: Eating with friends or playing Fortnite with friends.
