Orange Begin Swing Trip in Atlanta Thursday

Syracuse (13-5, 4-2 ACC) heads south to face Georgia Tech (9-9, 0-7 ACC) Thursday at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra through the ESPN app.

The Orange look to get back in the win column after Sunday’s home loss to No. 7 Notre Dame. Georgia Tech hopes to stop a six-game slide after its loss to Duke, 65-47, on Sunday.

Dyaisha Fair (19.6 ppg) extended her streak to 17-straight games in which she has scored in double digit points. Buffalo native, Kyra Wood tied a career-high with nine rebounds while adding eight points. Asia Strong scored in double figures for the third-straight game with 11 points. Syracuse looks to win their second road ACC game of the season after earning their first a week ago at Boston College, 83-73.

Georgia Tech is led in by Boston College transfer Cameron Swartz (11.8 pts, 3.5 reb) and Bianca Jackson (11.2 pts, 3.2 reb). Both players have been heavily involved in Georgia Tech’s resilient performances and hope to put GT in the win column for the first time in ACC play this season.

Syracuse is looking for its first win over the Yellow Jackets since Jan. 4, 2017 and first road win over GT since 2015. Georgia Tech has won the last four meetings between the teams, the most recent being a 65-55 victory at the JMA Wireless Dome on Jan. 20, 2022.

Following Thursday’s game the Orange will travel to Durham, N.C. to face #13 Duke at 12 p.m. at Cameron Indoor Stadium on ACCNX.
